Iaith - Work, Style and Terminology
Work:
- BMG Research
- Welsh Assembly Government
Style:
Developing the correct style and consistency specific to a clients needs is also paramount to the work. We ensure through discussion that the clients’ needs are maintained so that the ambiance, style and wording is constant in both languages. As an agency we encourage co-working and a constant dialogue between ourselves and our clients to ensure we accomplish our clients’ needs and wishes by also sharing current information in all aspects of the work. Through this we can guarantee that all translation work is appropriate and ready to publish by all public sector bodies and private companies.
Terminology:
Our translators are aware of all changes in terminology and are encouraged to share information on terminology on a constant basis in a variety of ways.
One way is through “The Association of Welsh Translators and Interpreters” website, where there is an online terminology forum for members, lists of dictionaries and printed translating information and guides in Welsh and English. This ensures their use of terminology is correct and up to date. There are also many other websites available and used to determine the correct information for example TermCymru.
